Amid heavy machinery and plant, shouting does not carry. Work settles into a rhythm of asking people to repeat themselves.

With the structure in between, the signal stops. Every signal across floors means somebody walking.

Everyone talks and listens at the same time.

BRIDGECOM X10 units talk to each other directly, with no base station or repeater: up to 10 people at once, plus unlimited listeners.

Noise cancelling keeps the other person clear in noise of around 100 decibels. Fully waterproof to IPX7 — 1 m of water for up to 30 minutes. About 12 hours of continuous talk gets you through the day without a mid-shift charge.

No registration, licence or qualification procedure is needed in Japan. These are 2.4 GHz, 10 mW devices with construction design certification, so you can use them the day they arrive.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a licence or a qualification?
No. They are 2.4 GHz, 10 mW devices with Japanese construction design certification, and there is no usage registration to file.
How far does it reach?
The X10 reaches up to 1,000 m unit to unit and up to 1,500 m with the relay function. These are open line-of-sight figures and vary with structures and terrain.
Can they be used in the rain?
The X10 is fully waterproof to IPX7, withstanding 1 m of water for up to 30 minutes. The X10 COMPACT is IPX4 splash resistant.
Will they clash with Wi-Fi or other radios?
A four-digit security code (0–9, A–F) gives 65,536 settings. Where the 2.4 GHz band is likely to be congested, consider the 1.9 GHz ALVO 1.9 as well.
How many units can we add?
Up to 10 people can talk at once, and listeners are unlimited. Separating talkers from listeners covers even large sites.
